Applications for PhD will open from 9th of October until 3th of November, 2017.

 

Candidates must complete the application form and include the necessary documents. Your application will only be considered for evaluation if you complete with the criteria here stated.

2. Required Documents

 

The application must be accompanied, under penalty of exclusion, by the following documents:

a) Curriculum Vitae of the candidate (template provided here), signed and dated, with the indication of the e-mail address and declaring the consent for notification by this way and accompanied by a letter of motivation and letters of reference; Note that using the CV template form provided is mandatory. Each candidate must indicate, at least, two referees – name, institution and email. Please contact the referees indicated by you before completing the Application Submission to find out if they are available and willing to provide a reference.

b) Copy of the personal identification document;

c) Documents proving that the candidate meets all the requirements for the award of the grant, including a copy of the certificates of all the obtained academic degrees, with final grades;

d) For academic degrees awarded by foreign higher education institutions it is mandatory, until 30th of September, 2016,  the presentation of the recognition of the degree register academic and final classification conversion to the Portuguese scale (process regulated by Decree-Law n.º 341/2007 of 12th of October), or, as an alternative, obtaining equivalence/recognition of degrees (process regulated by Decree-Law n.º 283/83 of 21st of June); For more information the candidates should consult the website http://www.ulisboa.pt/home-page/estudar/habilitacoes-estrangeiras/;

e) For foreign candidates, document demonstrating permanent and habitual residence in Portugal;

f) Supporting updated statement of the professional situation of the candidate. If applicable, this document may be replaced with a declaration of honor, that the candidate does not pursue any professional activity or the provision of services.
